Historical collections

The University Library Erlangen-Nürnberg (UB) preserves numerous valuable collections: Manuscripts and incunabula from monastery and princely libraries, scholarly libraries of the 18th to 20th centuries, letter collections, single-sheet prints, bequests, papyri and coins from antiquity to modern times. The graphic collections of the university contain masterpieces of the 14th to 16th centuries as well as works by artists of the 19th and 20th centuries.
