Virtual exhibition

The University Library’s (UB) collections of manuscripts, graphics and coins are rarely displayed in exhibitions due to conservation reasons.
The University Library published a virtual exhibition “Schatztruhe Wissen – Die Universitätsbibliothek Erlangen-Nürnberg im Wandel der Zeit” in the German Digital Library. Treasures such as a carved nautilus shell from the 18th century, hand drawings by Nuremberg artists from the 15th century and ancient coins are part of the special collections.
The University Library also participates in digitisation projects and presents the objects in its digital collections worldwide.
