Long-term Lockers

During periods of intensive library use, the University Library offers long-term lockers in the following branches: Main Library, Science and Technology Branch Library (TNZB) and Economic and Social Sciences Branch Library (WSZB).

Loan period: 6 months, a one-time extension is possible. If all lockers are taken, you can reserve a locker online via the catalog by searching with the term “Dauerschließfächer”.

You will receive the key at the counter of your chosen library. When the locker key is issued, it will be charged to your library account and you can check the loan period end date on your account at any time.

Please note a special feature at the WSZB: you must bring your own padlock, which should be slightly larger. Padlocks that are too small will not trigger the locking mechanism and are not secure.

Please check whether the locker was handed over cleanly by your predecessor. If you have any complaints, please contact one of our counters. Lockers must not be used to store unchecked library or reference materials, open beverages, or perishable food.
Please remember to return the keys on time in order to avoid a chargeable request for the return of keys.
If you lose your key or damage the lock on your locker, we must replace the lock at your expense.
