OPEN FAU
The institutional repository and online publication system OPEN FAU is the central electronic archiving and publication platform for all members of Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Qualified scientific works from research and teaching may be uploaded and archived here free of charge. The full texts of these works are permanently available worldwide and can be easily found and cited via library catalogs and search engines. Copyright
Copyright remains with the author. You only have to transfer a simple right of use. The initial publication on OPEN FAU (for example, a preprint) does not legally preclude further publication of the documents in journals or monographs as well as on other repositories. However, in cases of already published publications it is important to ascertain whether the publisher agrees to a second publication via OPEN FAU. An overview of the relevant publishing regulations can be found on the SHERPA/RoMEO platform: http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/index.php.
Which documents can be found in OPEN FAU?
Theoretically, OPEN FAU publishes a wide range of Open Access documents including research reports, book contributions, monographs, habilitations, preprints, reviews and articles in journals and newspapers. Currently, the largest part of OPEN FAU is made up of dissertations as well as secondary published articles in (for example subscription) journals which have subsequently become available with Open Access rights.
