The Ausweichbibliothek (07AB, B 701) as well as the Germanisitk (07DS, B 501), Oriental Studies (07OR, B 601) and Theater and Media Studies (07TH, B 201) departmental libraries will be closed from 10.02.2025 to 21.04.2025. The reason for this is the renewal of the electrical distribution boards in Bismarckstraße 1, Tower B.

By participating in the Germany-wide Springer Nature Transformative Agreement, the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität is offering its members and those of the University Hospital read-only access to all Nature journals from now until the end of 2028.

From January 7, 2025, the WSZB will reserve the reading room in the old building of the library for FAU students and staff in order to ensure sufficient workstations for all FAU members. The new section of the library will continue to be available to all users.
