The topic of “research data management” (RDM) is present in many areas of scientific work. Nationally and internationally, initiatives such as the “European Open Science Cloud” (EOSC) or the “National Research Data Infrastructure” (NFDI) are providing important impetus. For a few years now, the “Love Data Week” has been drawing worldwide attention to current developments around research data and its management. An important part of this theme week is also the organization of information and training events.
The Love Data Week takes place from February 13 to 17 as part of the project “FDM-Bayern/eHumanities – interdisciplinary”, a comprehensive program has been created in cooperation between the university libraries of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) as well as the LMU Center for Digital Humanities (ITG). The central aspects of research data management will be covered – starting with a general introduction to research data management to more in-depth topics such as data management plans, data journals or metadata.
