In the portal “Der Nürnberger Schembartlauf – digital”, which is being jointly operated by the Heidelberg University Library and the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg and is currently under construction, the unique Nuremberg carnival tradition of early humanism with its complex and multi-layered manuscript tradition is made available for further research.

For the comprehensive realization a third-party funded project is being sought, wich will be supported from the Nuremberg City Library, the Nuremberg City Archives, the Nuremberg State Archives and the University Library Erlangen-Nuremberg as cooperation partners.
