Do I have to register for OPEN FAU?

To publish a paper, you must register with either a Shibboleth identifier or an FAU email address (e.g., …@fau.de, …@uk-erlangen.de, or …@alumni.fau.de). Information on obtaining a valid email address as an alumnus can be found at: https://www.fau.eu/alumni/the-fau-network/benefit-from-the-network/#collapse_3. You do not need an FAU account to access and download already published documents.

Sometimes, the Shibboleth authentication will not work as expected, and you will be unable to log in. In these situations, we recommend creating an account with an FAU email address and password directly in Open FAU and using this account.
