Payment of Fees<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Use of the Erlangen-Nuremberg University Library is generally free of charge. However, fees are payable for certain administrative activities and types of use. The basis for this are the General Regulations on the Use of Bavarian Public Libraries<\/a> (Allgemeine Ben\u00fctzungsordnung der Bayerischen Staatlichen Bibliotheken (ABOB) of 18.08.1993), the Cost Law (Kostengesetz) of 20.02.1998 and the List of Costs (Kostenverzeichnis) of 12.10.2001, 3.III.2<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If borrowed works or objects are not returned on time, the University Library will request them back for a fee, stating that the loan period has expired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.2. Compensation for media damage – to be paid by bank transfer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Library shall determine the nature of the damages at its reasonable discretion. In particular, it may require users to restore items to their former condition, procure a replacement copy, another equivalent work or a reproduction at its own expense, or determine an appropriate monetary compensation; it may also obtain compensation for the loss in value not offset by these measures. Payment terminals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the payment terminals, fees can be paid that are generated and recorded directly in the library system: Reminder fees for exceeding the loan period, interlibrary loan fees, reimbursement of expenses for library cards. Payments can thus be made during the entire opening hours of the library and are immediately recorded in the library system and any account blocks lifted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
