The OPUS FAU document server is used to record and organise electronic full texts at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and is part of the OPUS publication network. It is possible to search local versions of OPUS such as OPUS FAU according to author, title, year of publication, subject group, document type, or the responsible faculty or supervisor. Online help for publications in OPUS FAU is available at http://opus4.kobv.de/opus4-fau/home/index/help
Which documents can be found in OPUS FAU?
The University Library Erlangen-Nürnberg (UB) is tasked with saving, cataloguing and archiving all electronic academic documents published by FAU staff. While the focus is currently mainly on doctoral theses, the aim is to include a wide range of documents in the future. Long-term archiving of doctoral and habilitation theses is carried out by the German National Library via EPICUR.
Copyright remains with the author. This means that publication on OPUS FAU does not preclude further publication of the documents in journals or monographs as well as on other servers. If a document has already been published by a publisher, it may be necessary to confirm whether the publisher agrees to publication in OPUS FAU. This issue should be clarified by the doctoral candidate.
