OPUS FAU will be migrated to OPEN FAU

OPUS FAU is changing to OPEN FAU, therefore, no documents can be uploaded between October 4 and approximately October 31.
OPUS FAU, the online publication platform of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, will no longer be hosted by the Cooperative Library Network Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV) and is switching to the OPEN FAU platform. This change enables faster adjustments to the needs of researchers, as well as modern functionalities such as universal DOI allocation.

All documents from OPUS FAU will be imported into OPEN FAU, and redirects will be set up for existing links. The import requires a longer downtime; specifically, no documents can be uploaded to OPUS FAU from 4 October until 31 October 2023.

Temporary solution for important, deadline-relevant documents such as dissertations
PhD students can submit the PDF file of their dissertation, the print release form, the publication contract (plus embargo notice, if requested) as well as a specially created PDF submission form to the library via cloud storage such as FAUbox, ideally via an individually generated download link sent to ub-opus@fau.de.

If you want to publish other document types during the downtime period, please ask ub-opus@fau.de. However, please only use this option in urgent cases. For many document types, the FAU community at Zenodo can also be used as an interim solution.
